The dictionary defines ethereal as:

1. Extremely delicate and light in a way that seems too perfect for this world.
2. Heavenly or spiritual: 'ethereal, otherworldly visions'.
3. belonging to the sky or the celestial sphere

Research shows that most of us only actively use 10% of our brains. What’s happening with the other 90%?
It is possible to imagine the large black hole we passed is influenced by magnetism, since it is a universal scientific concept that the universe is made up of positive and negative atoms. (Dark matter is an unknown I'm not going to get into) Some believe once we cross the Center of the Milky Way Galaxy the polarity of the Earth will shift because of the strong polarity of this black hole. Then it is not a huge leap to imagine our bodies and minds made up of these similar positive and negative atoms would 'flip', as well, turning on portions of our brain that we didn't have access to before? Maybe restructuring our 'junk DNA'.
In the book I have it so, when the Earth passes through the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, the internal switch in the human mind is turned 'on' giving access to these heavenly abilities. Our God given psychic abilities.
